Finca Alamo is a charming, old horse farm of about 130 acres that since 2012 has been a vacation and community place for families and groups in BCC.

The property is beautifully situated between the Costa del Sol’s beautiful coastline and Andalusia’s stunning mountainous areas – just a few kilometers from the white town of Casares.

Setenil de las Bodegas is one of the Spanish white towns. While most white towns are built on a mountaintop, Setenil is built into a canyon. But the most special thing is that many of the houses are literally built into the cliff.

It felt like stepping into a little piece of heaven —filled with camaraderie, warmth, and laughter.

Conversations flowed freely, old friendships were rekindled, memories were shared, and even the state of the world was discussed in a cheerful atmosphere.

Between the delicious meals, we could swim in the pool, enjoy the sun on comfortable lounge chairs, play table tennis, take a stroll in the beautiful garden—or simply relax.

We had a fantastic week at the Finca at the beginning of July. It was a combination of a vacation and a celebration of 60th, 40th, and 30th anniversaries 🎉

The place is absolutely perfect for occasions like this, and for a group like ours of 35 people—including children, in-laws, and grandchildren.

Family trip 2025

It is difficult to put into words just how inspiring and uplifting such a trip can be for a group of seniors.

Perhaps most importantly: meaningful conversations, plenty of humor, sharing life experiences, encouragement, and a stronger sense of community and unity.
