Andalucía has some of the most beautiful and varied nature and national parks in Spain, from high mountains and deep valleys to coastlines and desert landscapes. These have many great mountain areas with the opportunity for nice walks.
A distinction is made between Parque Nacional, which is a national park with strict rules for protection, and Paraje Natural, which means nature park and has slightly less strict protection.

Around Finca Alamo and Casares, nature is characterized by two Paraje Natural: Sierra Crestelina which stretches north of Casares, and Sierra Bermeja with its peak Los Reales east of Casares.

The mountains here are famous for the magnificent birds of prey that soar over the area. These are large birds such as vultures, condors, eagles and falcons.

Hidden between river valleys and limestone cliffs outside Casares lies one of Andalusia's most fascinating places: Baños de la Hedionda.

Paraje Natural Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja is a nature reserve in the Sierra Bermeja mountain range located just north of Finca Alamo.

"A small nature area with an extremely interesting relief, it has a row of medium-height peaks divided by steep cliffs over which vultures, golden eagles and peregrine falcons fly."

Sierra Nevada is a mountain range in Andalucía, Spain. The meaning of the Spanish name is "snow mountains". It contains the highest point in mainland Spain, Mulhacén, 3479 m above sea level.
