This is a nice back-and-forth hike of about 1.5 km each way. A relatively short hike up to a great viewpoint.
The total incline is 288 meters. This means that it rises at an average of about 20%. Steeper in some places and flatter in others. Some parts can be a little demanding if you are in poor shape. But overall, a very nice trip.
Route point 1 Start and end
There is a parking lot just below that probably has space. If not, it’s usually fine to park along the road.
Route point 2 To the left
The route goes up to the left and continues on the left side of the fence towards the finca located there.
Route point 3 Refugio Sierra Crestelina
Route point 4 Mirador del Castillón
Fantastic viewpoint that is the destination for several hiking trails. Great views of the Costa del Sol, Gibraltar and all the way to Africa. Here you are at about 600 meters above sea level with fantastic 360 degree views.

We were a group of 6 well-grown men (about 70+) who took this hike on the same day as the inauguration party at Finca Alamo. It had been raining for some time, so some slopes were a bit slippery.
This is a back-and-forth hike with about 1.5 km each way. A relatively short hike up to a great viewpoint. Total ascent is 288 meters. This means that it rises fairly steadily all the way with an average gradient of about 20%. It can be a bit demanding if you are in poor shape.
You reach a height of 600 meters above sea level. Fantastic 360 degree views.
We drove to Casares, over the hill and down to where the hiking trail starts. Quite easy to park along the road, or in a space just below.

Vi var en flokk på 6 godt voksne menn (ca 70+) som tok denne turen samme dag som innvielsesfesten på Finca Alamo. Det hadde regnet i lengre tid, så noen skråninger var litt glatte.
En veldig fin tur som kan være litt krevende i de bratteste stigningene. Men tar man det rolig og tar pauser, er det en fin tur.
En av turdeltakerne gikk hele turen med brukket arm i gips.
Man blir belønnet med et fantastisk utsiktspunkt på toppen.
